gorgeous jazzy atmosphere and great riffage with a deft arrangement, mix and master. love the shuffle on this - got me making stank faces when that that resonant little raindrop synth comes in at 1:42. saxophone solo is nicely recorded and sits really nicely on the mix - maybe needs a soft long reverb on it? my main complaint is the abrupt ending which makes this feel rather unfinished, otherwise i really enjoyed this!

Walpang responds:

Thanks!!

really great sounding future bounce track with a really tight melodic melodic theme and great mix/master. the sound design is quite nice with a lot of small details and nice layering. i like that there's a melodic variation in the 2nd section but apart from that the two halves of the track feel too similar so it would be nice to have a completely new melody or solo in the middle to break the track up more and have the 2nd section feel more refreshing than repetitive. great work overall though.

SPIRALi responds:

Thanks!

i really enjoyed the main vocal melody and the clever usage of black midi techniques on the piano track - the whole "sTaRtInG pIaNsYsTeM!!" theming at the start is extremely corny imo but you do you i guess.

i would prefer a tighter kick drum sound and less aggressive mix going into the master bus as it feels overcompressed, especially when the vocals are playing. i found the constant, seemingly thoughtless retriggering in the middle section very irritating and it undercuts all the great work put into the piano sequencing in this section. the ending is really pretty though.

Thanks for listening! :D
I was rushed when I making this, so it sometime has bad quality...
Thanks for amazing review :) It very helpful for my next music :)

fun take on early dubstep/grime sounds with a solid mix/master, i especially like the arpeggiated kind of sounds like at 1:14. nice atmosphere in the builds and breakdowns. i really wanted more distinction between the first and second drops, and felt that the sound design is too simplistic overall. also don't really like the long fade out ending, makes this track awkward to mix into a DJ set.

nailed the action theme vibes, with the standard instrumentation used effectively. really liked the section at 1:40 where the constant drone of the tonic subsides and the choir harmonies and flute come out and give hints of thematic development. unfortunately the harmonic repetitiveness and static arrangement hindered my enjoyment a lot, and the melodic ideas don't really captivate me at all either.

NativeNiles responds:

Thx for the review.

i liked the main melodic theme and arrangement quite a bit! the instrumentation is admittedly simplistic but i think it would work better with a much less cramped mix & master. as it stands i find the piece is very physically tiring to listen to, and that there's not really a break once it kicks into gear makes it really hard to return for another listen.

MsFluent responds:

Thanks for the feedback ❤️

some really nice synths here with a lot of different textures that balance really nicely. i like the main melody, but would maybe play it on a different synth and not alongside the vocal track they slightly clash harmonically and tonally.

i like the way it's structured but wanted a longer break from the drums in the breakdown. mastering is good but the mix is a little bit heavy in the low-mids.

Mauxus responds:

Thanks for listening and for leaving feedback :)

good blend of textures and synthesis styles with the orchestral instruments, with some nice dynamic movement and progression. the tension & release is quite good despite some of the "drops" lacking in their impact. some of the orchestral elements in the middle have a strange midrange boost applied which i don't really like, and i think the piece takes a little too long to build up and needs some more harmonic movement to keep it interesting.

GeminiGemini responds:

Thanks for the review.:)

i really liked the varied sound design within the sections. the pretty ambient intro and dirty uk bassline vibes come together surprisingly well and you tie them together nicely coming into the breakdown.

mix/master is great and doesn't sound rushed, but really needs a lot more variation between the 1st and 2nd bassline sections and a more thoughtful ending (appreciate the 2nd drop though).

sorry for the late response. thanks for listening! I will consider your thoughts for next time!

gorgeous instrumentation & very effective musical storytelling! love how the piano and strings all feel like they inhabit the same space, would be cool to keep the horns down a little during the fluttery harp & glockenspiel parts to keep these parts airy and light for contrast

i also would like more broad dynamic variation within sections to make the musical storytelling even more effective - could be a mix/master issue rather than composition though.

Cresince responds:

You're right, the dynamics could have used more love. I'll keep that in mind for my more intimate songs like this one!

used to put a lot of music on here and then i stopped but maybe i will start doing that again one day hehe
